Digital Strategist, Development Dialogue Asia 



About the Organization
Development Dialogue Asia (DDA) is a strategic communications initiative that works to preserve tropical forests, to protect the rights of Indigenous communities, and to advance sustainable land use as a climate change solution. Our highly skilled team of professionals are trained experts in the areas of communication strategy, digital and print media, influencers, data science, and campaigns. Team members have backgrounds in journalism, civil society organizations, digital agencies, PR firms, international and multilateral organizations. Development Dialogue Asia acts as part of an international network of communications professionals, and works closely with top digital agencies, mission-driven PR firms, and allied teams in other countries. 


We work in partnership with civil society organizations (CSOs), the academia, and cultural and philanthropic organizations in Indonesia to create communication strategies that strengthen initiatives aimed at our key topics mentioned above. Our core capacities include:

  • Research: social listening, audience segmentation, media analysis, narrative mapping, and message testing.
  • Media: media relations advice and amplification of content.
  • Influencers: media training for experts and spokespeople; partnerships with celebrities and digital influencers.
  • Digital communication: strategies for social media, audience orientation and network analysis.
  • Strategic response: crisis management and combating trolling, fake news and disinformation.
  • We do not support candidates or political parties, nor do we engage in elections or political lobbying. 


About the Role of Digital Strategist

As a DDA Digital Strategist you will be responsible for:

  • Support the team in strengthen and advancing partners digital capacities also building and maintain of digital community
  • Assist and support in maintaining creative digital campaign in accommodate various climate and land use priorities issues 
  • Assist the development digital paid amplification strategy
  • Assist in monitoring of develop news channel to amplify more news coverage regarding DDA objectives
  • Assist in monitoring potential issues to tap with DDA focus issues 
  • Assist in update current digital trend & experimentation
  • Assist in strengthen  partners digital strategy  including but not limited to weekly insight & newsletter program 
  • Support partners with insights through relevant findings and analysis to improve their digital communication work
  • Collaborating and supporting other work stream branches (media, research, influencer) on DDA in achieving our goals
  • Support the work on Indonesia social media listening dashboard with possibilities of new issues to monitor and find the most effective ways of working in getting alert on what’s trending and how to take advantage of it.
  • Assist in the creation of collaborative platform that integrated DDA approach and partners


Specific deliverables will be submitted to the DDA Digital Manager according to agreed upon timelines or deadlines between Director, Manager and Digital Strategy Support outlined in work plan; 


Monthly reports detailing progress against Scope of Work activities to be submitted to DDA along with invoice for monthly fees and expenses.

Location

Preferably based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
